SENIOR APPLICATION SYSTEM ENGINEER (Silicon Valley/Bay Area CA. with relocation provided)
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Applications System Engineer will be responsible to support customers on technical issues, set up evaluation systems for them and answer any technical questions they may have. He/She will be working on characterizing and testing systems released from the Engineering group. He/She will do benchmark tests and compatibility tests. The engineer will write Instruction Manuals, Data Sheets, and Applications Notes. The candidate should understand wireless system architecture (e.g. WLAN, UWB, Bluetooth, Wimax, ) and software applications.
In Depth Knowledge:
Wireless systems: WLAN, UWB, W-USB, Bluetooth, Wimax,
Experience in using lab equipment to test, characterize and debug boards and software.
Familiar with software applications, software download and software testing.
Familiar with TCP/IP, Ethernet protocol, MAC/PHY protocols of wireless systems
Preferred to have experience in board design and board layout.
Preferred to know how to write software codes.
Experience Desired:
At least 3 years experience in Applications Engineering support for wireless systems.
Experience in writing datasheet and applications notes.
Education: BSEE is required. MSEE is preferred.
