Job Description:
 
Experience with installation, troubleshooting of RBS products such as Ericsson RBS 6000 Series equipment, indoor & outdoor models or Femto, Enode B
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform site walk to determine installation and material
  • Install DC breakers and DC cabling
  • Installing RBS
  • Install fiber cable between DUS-41 and 7705 R
  • Install CPRI cables between DUS and patch panel
  • Install CPRI cables between DUS and Radio
  • Install DC runs between power plant and Radio
  • Power up and power down RBS cabinet
  • Disconnecting cables from RBS e.g. RF, transport, CPRI, GPS, etc.
  • Transfer DUS-41 and R503 to RBS
  • Unmount and de-install RBS and prepare for transport
  • Install rails on 19” rack
  • Connect DC power between power plant and Radio 2212 R
  • Connect CPRI cables between DUS and Radios
  • Ability to make 9/16, 4.3-10 connectors etc.
  • PIM and sweep test jumpers
  • Energized  Radio
  • Install and cable DUS-41 in RBS
  • Connect backhaul cable between primary DUS and 7705 R
  • Connect CPRI cables from patch panel to primary DUS, secondary DUS and R503
  • Relocate GPS receiver from RBS to 19” rack, install DIN rail if required
  • Install new LMR cable between GPS splitter and GPS receiver
  • Connect sync cable between GPS receiver and primary DUS
  • Energize and green-light test RBS
  • Return LTE and all carriers to service
  • Using the SRS application perform call test (e.g. ping, UL throughput, DL throughput, Swap Sector) on each sector/ carrier of the Ericsson eNode B
  • Label or color code all cables e.g. power, fiber, RF, etc.
  • Complete and upload to the tool of record the Close Out Package
 
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
 
  • Anritsu Certification.
  • JMA Certification.
  • Lift Certification.
  • Fiber splicing Manufacturer Certification.
  • Fusion splicing experience.
  • Experience with CDMA/ LTE/ GSM networks.
  • Cell site field tech experience.
  • Ability to develop Methods of Procedures (MOP’s).
  • Experience preparing daily reporting and technical reports with fiber, coax and/or wireless test data.
  • Familiarity with industry processes.
